Built over Roman Thermal baths (archaeologists consider that Le Langon is the second most important Roman site in Western France), St. Peter's Church dates from the 15th Century.
It contains a 17th Century reredos. Its central panel (in walnut) represents Christ giving the keys of heaven to St. Peter The richness of its decor is further enhanced by the addition of 3 altars in white-veined black marble bought from Luçon Cathedral in 1804.
In the main square, the 17th Century Château is to be admired, as well as the old market hall which now houses the municipal offices.
